Cliff’s Woodworking

Hand-made band saw jewelry/keepsake boxes, banks and lockboxes made utilizing salvaged Post Office box doors, wooden jewelry, cutting boards, and charcuterie boards, and other decorative wooden items. I use no paints or stains and all of my work is hand-cut and assembled of fine hardwoods. I use only a mixture of mineral oil and bee's wax for a finish. This makes my products food-safe. Notable exceptions are embellishments made of either purple heart or African padauk - both of these woods are sensitive to ultraviolet light and over time, will change to a dull brown color. To preserve the purple and red colors as long as possible, I use a marine urethane that contains UV inhibitors as a topcoat finish.
