Hi, my name is John Layton. I am a wood turning and jewelry artist. I use all types of wood to hand turn the pens and other objects you see here. The resin pieces are hand poured and molded prior to being turned on the lathe. Hi, my name is Tanya Layton. I am a lampwork bead artist. I use glass that is COE 104 including Uberos, Creation is Messy, Effetre, Vetrofond and Double Helix. All the beads are hand made in my studio. They go directly from torch into my digital kiln to be annealed. The beads are cleaned using a diamond bit rotary tool then held for a few days to be re checked for cracks prior to being offered for sale or assembled into jewelry. We do collaborative pieces with glass, wire wrap and other jewelry making techniques including chainmaile. All pieces are hand made in our studio. Hi my name is Shaye Layton. I turn wands, hair sticks and a variety of other wooden things by lathe. I am 17 and beginning to hone my craft. Together we are Laytonmade.
