This pretty box is made of walnut, oak, and maple. The tray sits atop a roomy cavity below and is easily removed when the drawer is removed from the case. 5 3/8″ wide X 3 1/2″ tall X 3 1/2″ thick. Note that there is a black mark on one end of the tray as shown in the photos. The mark goes all the way through the wood and can be seen on the other side. One never knows what will be exposed when wood is cut, but there isn’t anything that I could do to remove the mark. Does not detract from the overall look of the piece in my opinion.
Retired from the natural gas pipeline industry where I supported the activities of the field personnel as relates to state and federal regulatory issues, qualification tracking, and training. Married 50 years to my best friend and high school sweetheart. We have two children who have also had long marriages, two grandchildren, and 5 “granddogs.” We live near Ft. Worth, Texas in a rural neighborhood where we enjoy gardening and accumulating items for several collections: Antique barbershop equipment, antique food choppers and other kitchen items, moss rose china, and business cards from around the world.
